- Pace of Play: On Pace!
Layout: It’s a typical (muni) mountain course. Slightly, slightly above average for the area.
Conditions: were okay, the greens were in much better shape than I expected given the hot/dry conditions during the summer 2021.
The staff: were fine. Neither overly friendly nor sour. I asked a couple of question in the clubhouse and was given brief responses.
Value: at $48 for a walking round, that’s a bit steep for me. I’m playing in Vegas/California at a Tom Fazio in a few weeks for about $45 with a cart + access to range balls before the round @ Primm Valley Desert Course. Just to give a comparison to what a 10-value looks like atm for me.
I thought I’d created an entry for this course the last time I played here, but I guess not; so I didn’t think to take any pictures (next time?). I also didn’t mess with my golf app during this round either (like you care about my scorecard anyway?!). But, I shot a sloppy 82, a pretty standard round for me. I had a great time playing with three other colleagues/therapists/friends that I work with. I was walking(some running too) and having a wonderful time, until the tee-box of #18 when I decided to channel my inner teenager and throw a spinning heel-kick for the lads and pulled my hammy. Show off much Morris!?! I paid for it though. Despite that, I hit my drive to just before the waste of #18; from there, hit it on the green and then one putted. But, I couldn’t walk up the damn hill after that, despite that being the only birdie of my round.
Such a bunch of sherms!
