— Not counted in TCS™, but just as important (imo):
- Pace of Play: Slow to Moderate.
Layout: The layout is quite nice, 20% above average, but also in some spots basically just up and back. In my opinion, for a mountain course this is very walk-able, which says something about how ambitious the design is.
Conditions: For the end of Oct, right before they punch and seed the greens the course was in very good shape. In fact, if anything, the greens were too fast. They were really moving away from the mountain on every green. Not unfair, not a design trick, just very challenging.
The Staff: Quick interaction. Pleasant, but bunch of young kinds who were nice enough, but also not overly freindly.
Value: At $36 for a walking round, this is better golf than many courses that charge much more. Solid value!
Oh, and I found one of my zen moments for scoring too (though, my GPS was being strange in the canyon so shot tracking is off in some cases by quite a bit): LINK
