— Not counted in TCS™, but just as important (imo):
- Pace of Play: Slow to Moderate.
Layout: The layout is very nice. I’d actually put this in Fazio or Engh territory. Not quite as polished, but this is definitely a very well designed course.
Conditions: For the end of Nov the course was in very good shape. I get that California winter is much more mild than most of the areas of the US, but it was in very good shape! Some patchy areas and even some overgrowth, but otherwise, a solid 8/10.
The Staff: Quick interaction. Pleasant, but bunch of young kids who were nice enough running the entire operation, at least for the interactions I had.
Value: I booked an online round at $90, but got rung up for $110. That bugged, but no biggie, I got a logo ball from them for free…pffft…but, at over $100, for a nearly 6-hour round, this is a big value hit. I’d say it actually brings it down to roughly average with the over-charge and slow play. I’d come back, for around $100 again, sure, but only if I could get around closer to 4-hours.
I was playing some really great golf. Likely the Jamesons and high spirits since I was heading with my closests friends to DreamState right after the round.
Scorecard; GPS didn’t seem to work at all on the last few holes for some reason?! LINK
