Commentary:

Layout: It’s a Fazio, enough said? If not… well, I love Fazio. This course feels like a Fazio. It’s not his best design, but it’s classic Tom.

Conditions: 2021 has been so hot/dry, sorry nay-sayers, global warming is a real thing, even for this part of the world it’s just hot all the time. This means many of the fairways had lots of dry spots. I can tell they are watering, some spots were even soggy in the fairway, but they are fighting 100+ degrees out there -every-day!

The staff: The staff were very nice!

Value: at $45 (GolfNow) round + cart + balls on the range this is a fantastic value for a world class design!

I took Siaha to Las Vegas (at her request) for a little congratulations on graduating kindergarten trip. We made time to drive down and play this on a Monday morning. I was able to play 18 in 2-hours. I was hustling for her sake, but I was also playing very well. I didn’t have time at that pace to fool with my app, I did keep track on a card, even recording ball positions, but I can’t find it after the trip (I shot just about 78, with a couple of mulligans). Again, I doubt you (who am I even talking to other than myself 20-years from now) don’t really care that much about my scorecard. I loved the round! It was very Zen for almost 2-full-hours! I took one picture on #1 and another on #18. Posted here with different filters just for fun. Minimal pics ’cause I was really moving but also because Siaha was using my phone to watch a movie.

Here is a rubric for how I would interpret the TCS™

10 – Simply amazing, go play this a.s.a.p.! Are you on your way?!
9 – One of the best, just not spot on "perfect" in every way. Play It!
8 – One of the best courses in the area; well worth the trip to play.
7 – Worth a round if you are within a reasonable distance. Good conditions and interesting layout.
6 – An above average course that is worth your time if you're close by. Should provide a nice round.
5 – An average course. Decent layout, decent conditions, and the value hits the sweet spot. The one to play after work for a quick round. However, it lacks an overall wow factor.
4 – Below average, but moderately interesting in places.
3 – A poor course. Conditions are pretty bad but the cost of a round usually outweighs the conditions. Play with your friends who are too cheap to pay for a better round of golf.
2 – Bad, but playable. Play it when you need some practice before spending $$$ on a "better" course.
1 – A very bad course, but often has a deal you can't pass up (e.g., I have played a few like this; got 18 and a cart for only $5, yeah, I'd play about anything for that too).
0 – The only way I'd "play" this course if it was in my backyard and it was free. I mean who turns down a free "driving range" which is all that this "course" is good for, not for golf but to hit balls at and forget about.
