The design of this course is very good. Interesting holes, nice risk/reward options on almost every hole. It just has a nice flowing, rolling, hilly feel to it like an old style links course, but with a bit more sculpted charm pepper throughout.
However, for the name and rank this course carry’s in Indiana I was slightly disappointed. The course conditions were anything but perfect, and a fair shade shy of “well maintained.” Almost every fairway needs attention, bunkers need touching up and the greens were ball marked and need some conditioning. I got a very good rate using Golf Now and a coupon I had for my birthday, making it less than $30 to play. I don’t think I would pay more than $30 to play this, maybe not even $25 in the shape it is in right now.
I only found the sand once, if you can believe it. Had a great round, lost a few balls but shot in the 70s. A good day of golf, but a disappointing course after a couple of years of wait to finally find time to drive down and play.
